Privacy Policy
HappyFeet Global is free for dancers. We collect the minimum needed to help you find events, and we never sell your personal data.
Account data
When you create an account we store your email address and, optionally, a display name, city and country. This is used to sign you in, sync your saved events and alerts across devices, and contact you about the events you asked to hear about. Organisers may additionally provide public contact details for their listings.
Location data
Location is only used to sort and filter events by distance. We ask for permission at the moment you tap "Near me" — never on first launch — and we explain why beforehand. Coordinates are used for the search you requested and are not stored against your account or shared with third parties. If you decline, you can search by city, town, postcode or country instead and everything else keeps working.
Saved events
Saved events are stored against your account so the same list appears on the web, iPhone, iPad and Android. You can remove saves at any time, and deleting your account removes them everywhere.
Analytics
We count aggregate impressions and clicks for promoted events and advertising so organisers and advertisers can see whether a placement worked. We do not build advertising profiles, use cross-app tracking, or sell personal data.
Notifications
If you create alerts we send in-app notifications and, where you have opted in, email digests. Native push notifications are optional: we ask for permission only when you turn notifications on, and notification previews contain event details rather than personal information.
Payments
Payments for organiser subscriptions, promoted events and advertising are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe's secure pages and are never stored in the HappyFeet Global apps. We keep only the references needed to manage your subscription and satisfy accounting rules.
Advertising
Advertising is sold and managed directly by HappyFeet Global and is targeted only by broad location and event category. No third-party ad networks or device identifiers are used.
Your choices
You can view and change your details, notification settings and location preferences in Profile → Settings. You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete Account: personal data is deleted or anonymised, while records required for accounting are retained.
